Last year, the Philippines experienced the devastating consequences of environmental degradation during the cataclysmic flooding triggered by typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng. There is no assurance that the destructive flooding will not occur again this year.So in observance of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day with a theme “Hamon ng Panahon: Climate Change; 10 Milyung Solusyon (Kilos na! Ngayon na!). the Masigasig troopers invited guest lecturer from the Philippine Environment and Natural Resources Office - Quezon chapter to lecture regarding Environmental Consciousness in order for them to know their responsibilities in helping the government’s campaign in minimizing global warming.
