MAY 1 JOB PAIR 2010

In line with the unit’s action plan for CY 2010 in supporting the Bayanihan Operations in the Province of Tarlac, 3rd Mech in partnership with the Provincial Government of Tarlac through its Provincial Employment Service Office, Department of Labor and Employment and in cooperation with HNOLCOM, 701st Inf Bde, 7ID, PA, TOG-3, PAF, TPPO, ANGAT, and Tarlac Peace and Development Action Center joined together in the conduct of May 1 Jobs Fair at St Michael’s Park, Camp Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City bearing the theme “Trabaho sa Mayo Uno, Alay sa Lahat ng Tarlaqueño”. The objective of the said job fair is to help as many Tarlaqueño’s as possible to find employment especially during this time of unprecedented global challenges.
This activity likewise was highlighted with the rendering of medical, dental, optical, libre tuli and free anti-rabies vaccination in partnership with members of TASBde, AFPRESCOM.
The activity is part of the development phase of 3Mech’s Bayanihan Program in the Province of Tarlac which aims to operationalize the strategy of holistic approach at the grass roots level. 3Mech Bn, the Provincial government of Tarlac and other NGO’s supports the national government in its efforts to address insurgency through the timely delivery of basic services and implementation of developmental programs for the improvement of the quality of life of the people.

The May 1 Job Fair started with the arrival honors rendered to Brig. Gen. Eduardo Lacanienta (Res) AFP, Commander, TASBde, AFRESCOM at HNOLCOM followed by a short program with the Provincial Director of DOLE-Tarlac, Ms. Arlene M. Tolentino as Guest Speaker, PESO Officer, Ms. Nida Duco, Commander of NOLCOM, AFP, Lt. Gen. Ricardo A. David Jr., AFP, Commander of 701st Inf Bde, 7ID, PA, Brig. Gen. Gominto B. Pirino AFP, Commanding Officer of the 3rd Mech Bn, LAD, PA, Clo. Jose D. Caparas Jr. (GSC) CAV PA and Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PRO 3, PNP, PS/Supt. Weng G. Rosario. It was participated by 17 local agencies, 11 government agencies, and seven overseas agencies. There were also recruitment booths of Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force and of the Philippine National Police. The PNP also extended their services to the people where the applicants can apply and acquire police clearance immediately.
Sa pagtatapos nagkaroon, sila ng pagkakataon makapiling ang
kani-kanilang mahal sa buhay bilang panauhin at nabigyan din sila ng
pagkakataon na magsalo-salo sa may picnic ground na matatapuan sa Jungle
Base Area. Ang mga nasabing bagong sundalo ng Light Armor Division ay
binigyan ng labin-limang (15) araw na bakasyon ng pamunuan ng The Armor
School bago pumunta sa kanilang bagong destino upang magkaroon sila ng
pagkakataon na makapiling at makapag-paalam
sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay, dahil sa kanilang pagbabalik ay
haharapin na nila ang bagong yugto ng kanilang buhay sa napinili nilang
propesyon ang maglingkod para sa bayan.
On
part of the medical mission of the same day and venue, the TASBde,
AFRESCOM provided the medicines for Medical/Dental/Operation-Tuli and
also provided the optical services. The AFRESCOM medical and dental
teams augmented by NOLCOM and LAD medical and dental teams. The dental
team performed 59 dental cases and tooth extractions. The medical team
likewise, catered 19 young adults for circumcision, 306 Medical checkups
and one hundred 129 beneficiaries for optical. Free medicines were also
provided to the patients. The DA-Tarlac also participated in the
activity by providing free anti-rabies vaccinations that benefited 16
pet owners which vaccinated 24 canines.
Indeed, this one-day activity succeeded in winning the hearts and minds
of the people. Such outreach activity captured the pride of men in
uniform as well as the LGU’s, LGA’s, NGO’s, PO’s and other stakeholders
as partners of the society in promoting genuine peace and sustainable
development. The activity aims not just to give equal job opportunities
to the people but to extend services to the most indigent individuals
who cannot afford to pay such services.
