COMMANDER, LAD
VISIT HEADQUARTERS TAGAPANGUNA BATTALION
-1Lt Punay-

MAJOR
GENERAL SAMUEL D NARCISE AFP, Commander, LAD
was on his third and farewell visit to Headquarters 1st Light Armor
Battalion at Camp Jacobo E. Zobel, Pulacan, Labangan, ZDS last 27 April
2010 during the stewardship of COLONEL RAUL C VINOYA CAV (GSC) PA. His
visit marks another milestone in the history of the 1st Light Armor
Battalion gracing the Retirement Testimonial Honors to Msg Teodoro
Canedo (Cav) PA as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
It was a memorable day to all Tagapanguna Troopers, and to their
dependents meeting the ever dearest Commander’s wife Mrs Aurelia “Babet”
Narcise.
The commander usually takes time in visiting his field units during
change of command, unit anniversary or before leaving the unit either
assuming higher position or for any other reasons.
But this time, the Commander of the Light Armor Division,
paid a timely visit
to 1st Light Armor (Tagapanguna) Battalion prior to his upcoming
compulsary retirement on 23 May 2010 as the unit also celebrated the
testimonial honors to 2Lt. Teodoro Canedo last 30 April 2010.
As MGEN NARCISE delivered his message as the Guest of Honor and Speaker,
he appreciated the initiative of COL VINOYA in giving Traditional Honors
to some retiring comrades, Master Sgt. Teodoro Canedo (Cav)
who served the Light Armor Division with pride and dedication and
immensely contributed to the accomplishment of the mission.
He added that this kind of activity should also be replicated by
other battalions in behalf of the Light Armor Division in which subject
personnel may not have a chance to visit Camp O’Donnell Capas, Tarlac on
his retirement date.
MGEN NARCISE
gave his utmost gratitude to Msg. Canedo serving the 1LAB by pinning a
medal of the Saguisag of Ulirang Kawal and giving of a Unit Plaque. And
as he continue his speech, honoring our retiring EP, he thought of
mentioning that sooner he himself will be on that same position as he
leaves the military service and enjoy his civilian life with his wife
and children. He gave
emphasis that the wisdom left by Msg Canedo be forever be remembered and
shared by the Tagapanguna troopers.

Furthermore, Gen.
Narcise was pleased with the leadership of Col. Vinoya as he saw the
many improvements of the area as well as the newly rehabilitated and
repainted armored vehicles. He also congratulated the troops for the job
well done as they painstakingly contributed to the overall
accomplishment of the Light Armor Division mission in ending Internal
Security Operations this June 2010. Lastly, the Commander, LAD is very
thankful for the warmed welcome by the Tagapanguna Troopers and their
dependents accorded to him and his wife Maam’ Babet.
Commander, 1ID receives a memento from Commander, LAD in recognition to
his untiring support to 1LAB and the Light Armor Division as a whole
