YLS PARTICIPANTS TOUR AT 41LAC, 4LAB

               As part of their Youth Leadership Summit (YLS), fifty four (54) participants composed of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials and out-of-school youths from Malinao, Albay visited Hqs, 9ID on 10 April 2010. During the visit, 41LAC was tasked to provide armor vehicles for the usual static display. 1LT VERGEL G MEJIA(CAV) PA led the Matindi team. After welcoming and giving of brief essential information on the  capabilities of armor vehicles in the unit’s inventory, taking of souvenir pictures followed.

          After the tour, the visitors were very thankful for the warm accommodation of 41LAC personnel. Even in the midst of extreme heat of the sun, they enjoyed the experience of riding the armored vehicles. New friendships have been developed from it. It only shows how activities like these foster closer ties between the Philippine Army and people in the community.
